[EdLUG] 14 cheap laptops apparently

Hi Tai,

Thanks for the info, I hadn't heard of OOo4kids (or HTTPS Everywhere).

My daughter is 9, so I want to avoid really childish ones like
https://www.sugarlabs.org/ and go for something more adult

I suppose the requirements are:
- easy interface
- easy on tasks like installing applications
- any pre-bundled education packages are a bonus.

But then again previous generations never had child-targeted
distributions so maybe I'm being too fussy.
Was just curious if anyone on here with kids had any experience with
specific distros.

I'm just going to go with edubuntu for her and ubuntu Mate for myself
so we're at least in the same ball game with regards to Ubuntu
Software Center and such things.
