With that description (and the /proc/cpuinfo details that you didn't
show) it says that you have an "Intel Core 2 Duo P8600" CPU. This can be
looked up on http://ark.intel.com and there it says:

  Instruction Set 	64-bit

So yes, as you have determined already: it's a 64-bit capable CPU :)
