Depends on what you want. If you want to appear from in the UK to get
access to UK sites (like iPlayer, or Netflix) from abroad, there are
various techniques. If it's about complete anonymity, we could spend ages
on the topic.

When I was traveling I actually used a droplet server from digitalOcean
(substitute any virtual hosting solution) and just tunnelled a dynamic
proxy to get back onto UK sites

This does tie the IP address and internet usage to you, as the owner
at-that-time of that IP at that provider. This is not an anonymity
technique, just a way to appear from another country.

Ssh to your virtual server:

    ssh -D 8080 your-server

Update your browser preferences to use a manual dynamic/SOCKS5 proxy - host
localhost, port 8080 (or whatever yuo sepcified)

Search online for your public IP - see that it has changed to the IP of
your virtual server.
