Exciting news! Belfast LUG have invited us to have a joint event with a series of short talks around the theme of Linux audio. This is likely to be in late September - I'll announce it here when the date and time are finalised.

Is anyone interested in doing a talk for this? These will be shorter than our usual talks, probably just 5-10 minutes, so we can hear several in one evening. Maybe you have a fun story of debugging a sound problem? Could you provide an introduction to something like GStreamer or JACK? Maybe someone could go even deeper into how sound in computers works in general? Do you have a favourite media player you can show off? Or can you explain how to play music on a bunch of old floppy drives [1]?

For inspiration, Belfast LUG have so far proposed talks on: Home office & OBS, Ardour for Classical Synth, and Pipewire & Flatpak. I hope we can add a couple of talks from EdLUG!

Thanks,
Thomas
