Andrew,

If you have a wired keyboard with three LEDs, do the LEDs flash, that 
indicates a kernel panic?

It looks like the kernel was able to mount the root filesystem because 
the messages mention udisksd.

Does pressing the enter key scroll the screen, if so the system is not 
locked up?

Can you get a console login prompt if you press Ctl-Alt-F2?

Getting logged in at all would be good.
