Hey you smashing people,

Since it's almost a month since Dale posted, and now there's only one
week to go, I thought a wee reminder might not go amiss.

The pitch!

You are a member of an underrepresented or marginalised group and are
looking to start speaking at conference. You'd like to have some help
with this; from generating ideas to tips to writing your proposal to
what it might be like on the day of the talk itself.

Well, you have yourself that opportunity! This Saturday (on the 2nd of
March), in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as a wide array of
other cities worldwide (https://www.globaldiversitycfpday.com/) you
can come along for free to a session and work through an idea with a
mentor.

If you're not sure you'll come along because you don't think you're
ready for a conference, two things: 1) many people feel unprepared for
this type of event! you are not alone. and 2) you don't need to start
at a conference: indeed, you could put together a talk for Tech
Meetup. But that could grow into a conference talk, and wouldn't that
be marvelous?

So, if you're interested visit the appropriate city workshop page on
the website above, and register your interest.
