Ah right, gotcha. I see it now

https://lists.edlug.org.uk redirects https://lists.lug.org.uk, which does
so only after establishing the secure connection.

It looks like a plain server-configured redirect so there's proabbly scope
to put a valid certificate on it.

That'll be for the lists site maintainer if they have the time. They're on
the list, they should be seeing these.
