I would second this. 

I have switched my nagios installations over to Ichinga - with Graphite
for metrics and Graphana for some dashboarding and to look at trends.

But also on my list of things to look at are Prometheus and InfluxDB. 

One of my main wants is a bit more detail, so I I get an alert that a
server is overloaded or out of memory, but when I look at it things have
recovered I really want somethings that can record more of the state,
which I believe InfluxDB can do.
